A healthcare network in Virginia is currently seeking a new, licensed Dentist to join their growing team in Boydton.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday
- Hours: 8am to 6pm
- Patient Population: Adults (occasional Pediatric cases)
- EMR: eClinicalWorks
Responsibilities:
The Dentist will:
- Provide general and comprehensive dentistry services and supervise dental and clinical staff
- Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical dental policies and procedures
- Diagnose and evaluate dental conditions and maintaining accurate dental records to support diagnose/evaluation
- Interpret x-rays and treat mouth diseases; provide restorations and other treatment as needed
- Perform emergency procedures on patients to reduce or eliminate pain
- Assess treatment options and agree on treatment plan with patients
- Instruct/educate patients in oral hygiene and dental care
- Assist with the development and implementation of Dental Quality Assurance
- Train and evaluate assigned Dental staff
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in Human / Social Services
- Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS)
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Healthcare environment
- Training or direct experience in counseling, interviewing, service plan development, decision making, and information and referral service
