Job Description: PRG Technical is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Industrial Construction Workers to join our client's dynamic team. Summary: As an Industrial Construction Worker, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and repairing industrial structures, with a focus on High Voltage Substations. This position is based in the Phoenix-metro area, with frequent travel to various sites across the Southwest United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on installation tasks including conduit, grounding, and steel structures.
- Engage in physical construction activities, including pouring concrete and assembling structures.
- Operate forklifts, manlifts, and other construction equipment as needed.
- Utilize a variety of manual and power tools in outdoor construction environments.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial construction, substation experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Valid Class A CDL is preferred.
- Training in OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR, and other relevant safety protocols.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Required Competencies:
- Strong communication and mechanical skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%) and adapt to various work environments.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding construction tasks.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: This role is primarily field-based, involving travel to outdoor locations. The work is physically demanding, requiring frequent handling, lifting ( lbs.), climbing, and bending. You will be exposed to environmental elements such as heat, cold, and rain.
