We are looking for a Fitness Coach who can communicate well, set goals and deliver results for the client, can move quickly and accomplish task, follow protocol, and bring energy to the gym? Can you drive a following because of your personality and skill as a coach? - then you have found the right team to support you and develop your skill set professionally, personally and help you create compensation that helps you accomplish your goals/dreams.You will assess the physical and health conditions of clients, create appropriate exercise plans, modifications, and monitor their improvement. You will also explain applicable safety rules and regulations (e.g. use of equipment, Covid-19 Protocol's).Ultimately, you will help our clients have fun and improve their health through exercise. We are a private gym with in a physical therapy facility and collaborate closely with the PT's and the wellness team (massage therapist, chiropractor, nutritionist). ResponsibilitiesIdentify the clients' fitness level and healthOversee completion of exercise routines Track clients' physical progressModify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues alongside our Physical Therapy teamConduct individual and group fitness training sessionsAdopt our holistic training approach (e.g. Applied Functional Science, weightlifting, cardiovascular exercise, strength, etc.)Oversee the use of fitness equipment to ensure clients exercise properly and safelyHandle nutrition and health-related questions under your scope of practice or refer to appropriate staffRefer, promote, and sell fitness packages, memberships and subscriptions CPR certifiedFollow safety and hygiene guidelinesRequirementsDegree in exercise science or related fieldCertification or Plan for one (NSCA, CSCS, NASM, ACE) Preferred previous work experience as a Fitness Trainer or similar roleKnowledge of diverse exercises and how to adjust plans according to each client's needsAbility to instruct and motivate peopleExcellent communication skillsTeamworkTransparent and can handle constructive feedbackWilling to learnBe on TimeAvailable to work on early or late shifts and on weekendsProven experience of CPR and First AidHigh School Diploma; degree in Kinesiology or Sports Science is a plusCompensation: Group Classes- fixed ratePersonal Training Commission % based on experience and sales (we do have current personal training clients that we will be needing a coach for starting in may)Incentive Program for growth/membership sales
