Description:Performs campaign analysis in support of US Forces Korea (USFK) planning activities, using theater campaign models/simulations and other operations research techniques.Duties:Employs campaign models, operations research techniques, war gaming, and knowledge of military doctrine and capabilities at the Combatant Command level to develop and assess warfighting courses of action in support of senior DoD decision makers. Supports operational planning teams using the Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) to analyze theater operations.Qualifications:MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION FOR THIS POSITION: 1) US Citizenship; 2) possess an active Secret clearance; 3) demonstrated experience performing campaign analysis using models such as STORM, JICM, ITEM, NSS, or GCAM; 4) hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; 5) documented formal education in mathematics, computer science, statistics, operations research/industrial engineering, or related disciplines; 6) demonstrated ability to program pre- and post-processing macros to expedite analysis; 7) demonstrated experience of at least 6 years with OPLAN deliberate planning at the strategic / operational level in a joint and/or combined environment, and 8) demonstrated experience of at least 5 years with military operations analysis, which can be applied to the Korean military environment. You may be expected to travel for this position. WELL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES: A bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline; a Graduate degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university in a discipline; at least 4 years of experience employing STORM to perform campaign analysis; military education at or above MEL-4; experience with design of experiments and using statistical software packages.
