Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services is seeking a Solo Pathologist that is board certified in anatomical and clinical pathology to be based at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.
Qualified Candidates:
- Both AP and CP board certification required
- Practicing experience required
- Active Florida Medical License or eligible to obtain
- Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.
Pathology Work Description:
- Surgical volumes approximately 2800 per year
- Cytology 250 per year
- Procedures (frozen sections and ROSE) 6-7 per week
- Clinical Pathology
- Peripheral smears 4-5 per day
- Blood bank reviews 3-4 per month
- HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital has approximately 215 beds. Anatomic pathology specimens include a wide variety of cases - breast, GU, colorectal, thoracic, ortho and gyn/OB specimens.
