Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Springfield, MO Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical Only Shift Schedule: - Mon-Fri: 7a-7p OR 7a-7a - Sat-Sun: 6a-3p, 2p-11p, 10p-7a - 12 or 24 hour shift Patient Volume: 9 (6 day; 3 nights) Annual Volume: 2500 Support Staff: - RNs: 7-9 (floor nurses); 5-6 (Night coverage); 1-2 (weekend coverage); Plus 1 charge and 2 triage RNs - OB Assistants & Surgical Technicians (3 on days; 2 on nights) - 4 Midwives Procedures: - Low and high risk pregnancy, FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE, OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I & II), Amniocentesis - Routine delivery: Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section - Complicated delivery: C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's - Surgical Gynecology: Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, Chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's - Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. No. of ORs: 12 LDR; 3 low intervention rooms 24 hour Support Services: Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Cath Lab, General Surgery, Lab, Neuro-Surgery, OR Response Time, Radiology, Ortho & Vascular Surgery Trauma Level: I EMR: Epic Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance coveredRequirements: Active MO License BC BLS, ACLS & ATLS
