Position Title: Quality Assurance SupervisorCustomer: Defense Health AgencyLocation: 2345 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA, 22202Clearance Required: Favorably adjudicated NACLCHours of Operation: Monday Friday 8:00am and 5:00pmGC Associates (GCA) Company Website: Associates requires a Quality Assurance Supervisor to provide support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Health Services and Policy Oversight (HSP) and the Director, Defense Health Agency (DHA), in their missions of policy and program development and oversight of the Disability Evaluation System (DES), the Special Compensation for Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (SCAADL), the Physical Disability Board of Review, and the Compensation and Benefits Handbook.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze, research, propose changes to, develop, and monitor the Military Services' compliance with the DES Quality Assurance Program, to support accurate and consistent disability determinations for those in the DES. Recommend and provide consultancy on normalizing and integrating QAP throughout the DES Based on identification of a need to change or create new QAP procedures, provide a decision paper to the appropriate government lead that assesses and recommends an action plan. Upon approval, draft changes to existing or development of new QAP policy, operational direction, and oversight activities. Recommend performance measures, goals, and focus areas. Review, update, and facilitate distribution of all QAP related tools, to include checklists, sampling requirements, assessment procedures.Draft, gain approval of, and facilitate distribution of a QAP report on a quarterly basis on a date established by the government lead. Assist in the government's oversight of the PDBR's mission to support the QAP. On an annual basis, analyze and recommend to the appropriate government lead constructed case themes and propose courses of action related to the Military Departments' QAP activities. Coordinate with PDBR staff as appropriate, and gather data generated by the PDBR for inclusion in QAP reportingSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, math, or scienceExperience. At least Ten (10) years' related experience.Experience researching, developing, and recommending IT strategies. Experience monitoring system change requests. Experience assisting in the preparation for new IT systems.Desired: Experience providing support to program related systems and applications, future IT infrastructure planning, architecture analysis, performance management and metrics, and analysis of IM/IT requirements, to include VA's Veterans Tracking Application (VTA) and the development and implementation of the electronic DES IT case management system (Joint Disability Evaluation System (JDES)).
