The Senior Director owns the narrative around customer insights and how they are used throughout the global organization of GNC. This role will work in collaboration with their cross-functional partners to provide a 360 degree view of the insights that drive overall business strategy, decision making and measurement of performance. The Senior Director will help drive GNC towards a consumer-first culture for growth. Ensure data and analysis is accurate, insightful, and actionable in order for it to be adopted across the business Lead a team of analysts / data scientists and seek partnerships externally to augment skills, teams and capabilities with universities and sponsors Develop and champion business growth strategy built from customer insights Identify and track leading indicators of GNC brand health based on data mining of consumer transactional data Build segmentations which initiate the marketing annual plan (e.g. level of focus on retentions vs acquisition, new and existing consumer counts, and consumer goals) Provide insights into promotion success including where incremental sales happen; brands, incentive level, channel, customer mix to enable continuous improvement in promotional strategy Provide insights into channel effectiveness and targeting effectiveness to drive better channel personalization as opportunities to improve GNC's loyalty program and overall marketing strategy Integrate data sources with support from IT to build a rich, high fidelity data asset that is in line with other best-in-class retailers to include 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data Own the communication to senior executives around data-driven insights including recommendations and implementation plans to drive business improvements Operate as an internal agency to support corporate business unit leaders to develop strategies, tests, and analytics programs, and measure the resulting impacts on strategic and operational KPIs Build weekly, monthly and annual scorecards to track aforementioned initiatives and their impact on customer value Additional duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supervising a team of employees Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Analytics, Mathematics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred 10+ years customer insights experience required 8+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect) Knowledge of data visualization software and BI tools preferred Proficient in SQL programming and other data, analytic and statistical software High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
