Responsibilities

The Sr. Business Analyst, Film Marketing & Strategic Planning is a member of the Marketing, Finance & Strategic Planning team. This resource will be an integral part of the M&SP team and will be working across our Film Analytics and Marketing projects. In this role the Sr. Business Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders across Film Marketing & Strategy.

Responsibilities:

* Engage with a broad range of Film Marketing & Strategy business users to drive business requirements, analyze data and processes, and partner with the project teams to create work products that lead to the implementation of technical solutions
* Build and manage relationships with supporting IT teams within the matrixed organization in order to effectively deliver work products to production
* Hands on functional support to assist the business as needed with reports, data analysis and dashboard development
* Present data analysis findings to Film Stakeholders, Product and Engineering Teams
* Lead Film Data Privacy & Security initiatives and be the liaison between the Film Data Strategy, Technology and Data Privacy teams to support business related to data privacy & compliance initiatives. This includes communication of new governance and compliance processes, creating workflows and analysis to support these initiatives
* Lead and facilitate business requirements sessions with Film Stakeholders across the M&SP portfolio
* Partner and collaborative with the Filmed Entertainment - and broader Technology organizations to make improvements and resolve issues in support of the Film business
* Understand IT industry and trends, emerging technologies and use them as needed to achieve project objectives
* Become subject matter expert for Film Marketing, and the supporting Film Marketing, Finance and Strategic Planning Technology organization
* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

* 5+ years of IT experience including performing analysis, requirements gathering and creation of functional requirements including creating user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria for core features/functionality

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to utilize technology to create innovative solutions

* Strong ability to multitask and work across multiple projects

* Experience with reporting/visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau and Data Studio

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical and business concepts with leadership teams, technical developers, and end-users

* Extensive experience gathering and documenting functional user requirements with a strong knowledge of structured IT analysis methodologies, including process flow definition and data flow diagramming

* Creative and original thinker who is highly self-motivated and has the ability to learn new technologies with a desire to have hands-on experience and an understanding of the business value that it provides

* Demonstrated experience with the digital marketing with familiarity of the formats, processes, and service providers within this market segment

Desired Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

* Experience with Media / Entertainment

* Experience working in an Agile environment

* Prior Project Management experience is a plus

* Experience with the broader Film Theatrical media industry with an understanding of the digital landscape as well as the drivers influencing the consumer behaviours

* Experience with business intelligence and analytic tools a plus

* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work on assigned development tasks with minimal oversight, leveraging team members and resources as necessary

* Ability to work with minimal oversight toward aggressive deadlines and in high pressure situations

* Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams across varying time zones
