This is a temporary, part-time position starting immediately. The position is expected to last through the 2022 calendar year (contingent on continued funding). If you like to garden, work with students and schools and would like to see more local foods being utilized in your local schools, then this position is for you!Job Responsibilities: Primarily this position will liaison with the schools and our Tribal Local Foods AgrAbility project, its partners, new farmers, etc. helping the schools understand how they can start a farm to school program at their school. This position will assist schools in applying for farm to school and gardening grants and educate on how to work with local farmers and gardeners to get local foods into their schools.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of:Grant application processesNetworking and marketing techniquesGardening and grounds maintenance practicesExperience working in Tribal CommunitiesExperience working with schoolsSkill & Ability to:Build strong relationshipsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingManage multiple projects with competing deadlinesLift up to 30 pounds.Required License: Valid Driver's LicenseComments: Experience working in tribal communities and in schools in tribal communities is preferred.
